Important PDI Advisory for Buyers

Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) must be conducted PRIOR to RTO vehicle registration, chassis invoicing, and full disbursement of funds. Dealerships cannot legally compel registration prior to client chassis physical inspection under Indian Consumer Protection regulations.

Definitions & Interpretation

In this Agreement, unless the context otherwise requires, the capitalized terms defined herein shall have the following meanings across all operational communications, mobile applications, engineering briefs, and diagnostic sheets:

"CarParakh" / "The Agency"

Refers to CarParakh Technologies India Private Limited, its field mechanical engineers, certified diagnostic technicians, and corporate affiliates.

"Client" / "Vehicle Purchaser"

Any legal adult, corporation, or entity booking a diagnostic inspection service who holds an active allocation, booking docket, or used vehicle interest.

"Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)"

The systematic forensic technical assessment of an allocated brand-new vehicle at an authorized OEM stockyard prior to government registration.

"OBD-II Diagnostic Telematics"

Electronic interrogations conducted via calibrated scan instruments reading DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) without altering manufacturer ECU firmware.

Scope of Independent Vehicle Metrology & Diagnostic Audits

CarParakh performs specialized diagnostic and metrological audits covering up to 250+ individual checkpoints depending on the package selected. The inspection standard adheres strictly to documented engineering benchmarks:

Paint Depth & Accidental Structural Audit:

Automotive magnetic induction and eddy current dry film gauges are utilized across metallic body panels. Standard factory single-stage OEM coat depth measures between 80µm and 145µm. Readings exceeding 180µm or displaying abrupt standard deviation variances indicate secondary yard re-sprays, transit scratch touch-ups, or body filler.

ECU & Sensor Scanning Protocols:

OBD-II hardware connects to read active, pending, and historic DTC fault codes across engine management, ABS/ESP modules, supplemental restraint systems (Airbags), and transmission controllers.

Form 22, VIN & Production Batch Triangulation:

Verification of Chassis VIN stamping, glass manufacturing quarter/year alphanumeric etching codes, and tyre DOT serial batch dates to verify vehicle age consistency against Dealership claims.

Dealership Yard Access & Booking Protocols

Stockyard access represents private commercial premises controlled by authorized OEM franchised dealers. To ensure an orderly and unhindered inspection experience, the Client agrees to the following procedural covenants:

Dealer Notification: The Client must formally notify their dealership Relationship Manager (RM) or General Sales Manager of the third-party PDI appointment date at least 24 hours in advance.

Vehicle Readiness: The allocated chassis must be washed, dried, placed in an adequately lit designated staging area, and have key fobs ready with adequate battery voltage.

Physical Presence: Client presence is welcomed but not strictly mandated. If the Client cannot attend in person, our engineer acts under written remote authorization submitted through our booking interface.

warningDealer Resistance or Stockyard Refusals

If an OEM dealership deliberately denies physical yard entry to our certified field technician despite valid Client authorization, our engineer will immediately record an on-site video affidavit and notify our central coordination unit. CarParakh will hold dispatch standby for up to 45 minutes while the Client escalates with dealership leadership.

Deliverables & Decision Autonomy

The core deliverable of our service is the CarParakh Digital Technical Audit Report, which includes:

Timestamped high-resolution photos highlighting any scratches, dings, or factory flaws.

Client Prerogative: CarParakh provides technical factual findings and diagnostic observations. The final determination to accept vehicle allocation, insist on dealership part rectifications, or formally refuse delivery remains solely with the Client. CarParakh does not execute vehicle purchase agreements or legal cancellations on behalf of the customer.

Independence, Zero Dealer Commission & Integrity Guarantee

CarParakh operates as an uncompromised, fiduciary inspection body. We guarantee that:

shieldNo Dealer Commissions: We accept zero financial incentives, kickbacks, referral commissions, or affiliate stipends from car dealerships, OEMs, or pre-owned automotive marketplaces.
shieldBodycam Auditing: Inspection engineers undergo randomized bodycam recordings and GPS geofence checks to eliminate offline negotiations or influence from sales executives.
shieldDirect Customer Delivery: The diagnostic dossier is transmitted directly to the Client's encrypted portal or verified WhatsApp number before dealership representatives see conclusions.

Non-Destructive Testing Scope & Technical Boundaries

All automotive testing conducted by CarParakh technicians is strictly non-invasive and non-destructive. To safeguard OEM warranty protections:

Limitation of Liability & Warranty Boundaries

While CarParakh utilizes industry-certified metrology equipment and certified automotive engineers, automobile manufacturing encompasses thousands of micro-components that may fail unpredictably post-delivery:

1. Latent Engineering Flaws: CarParakh shall not be held liable for internal foundry flaws, microscopic metallurgical fatigue, software glitches released in subsequent OTA updates, or latent factory defects invisible without laboratory component dismantling.

2. Post-Inspection Alterations: Our report guarantees vehicle condition strictly at the exact timestamp and GPS location of inspection. We accept zero liability for damages, panel swaps, odometer rollbacks, or battery draining occurring between inspection completion and dealership handover.

3. Maximum Liability Cap: Under all circumstances and legal theories (contractual, tortious, negligence, or statutory), the aggregate liability of CarParakh Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. to the Client shall be capped at the exact inspection fee paid by the Client for the specific service order.

Cancellation, Yard Denial & Rescheduling Terms

We maintain strict engineer dispatch schedules across 20+ major metropolitan cities. The following policies govern schedule changes:

Customer Obligations & Approvals

By engaging CarParakh services, the Customer represents and warrants that:

verified_userThey are the verified booking holder, legal buyer, or an authorized representative acting on behalf of the vehicle purchaser.
verified_userThey have obtained necessary clearance from the franchised dealership allowing an independent professional engineer to carry out external and electronic diagnostic procedures.
verified_userThey will not harass, coerce, or demand technician tampering with verified diagnostic findings to favor or disadvantage any party.

Intellectual Property & Report Confidentiality

All proprietary diagnostic checklists, calculation models, report structures, graphical paint thickness displays, and software code generated by CarParakh remain the exclusive intellectual property of CarParakh Technologies India Pvt. Ltd.

The Client is granted a personal, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the inspection report for personal vehicle verification and presentation to their franchised dealership or insurance underwriter. Commercial reproduction, redistribution, or publishing without CarParakh express written consent is strictly prohibited under Indian Copyright Laws.

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.

Arbitration: Any dispute, difference, or claim arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual consent in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Exclusive Jurisdiction: The courts and tribunals situated in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive territorial jurisdiction over any and all legal proceedings.
